Meet the Team *

    Celeste Goodwin, MPH, RDN, LDN

    Founder, Co-Owner, Chef, Dietitian

    Celeste founded Camellia Culinary Consultation in 2022. As registered dietitian and chef, she started Camellia Culinary to bridge the gap between these two worlds.

    Celeste received her B.S. in nutritional sciences from the University of Connecticut, studied culinary arts at Johnson & Wales, and completed her dietetic training and MPH in nutrition at UNC Chapel Hill. She has a background in farming and early childhood education, and speaks English and Spanish.

    Hannah Malian, MPH, PhD

    Co-Owner, Baker

    Hannah received her MPH and PhD in Nutrition from UNC Chapel Hill. What started as a way to de-stress during her doctoral studies blossomed into a mission to bring joy to others through custom-crafted treats. Hannah not only loves the science behind baking, but also finds fulfillment in crafting tailored baked goods for our clients. She originally joined Camellia as a baker, but has since also taken on the role of Co-owner, ensuring everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes. Her favorite foods are miso ramen, blueberry cornmeal pancakes, and a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie!

    Lisa Pham, MPH

    Personal Chef

    Lisa received her B.S. in public health from Appalachian State University and her MPH in nutrition from UNC Chapel Hill. Her main interests are in decolonization work and using design thinking to create innovative solutions to the challenges faced by marginalized communities. Lisa's goal is to assure BIPOCs living in the US that their cultural foods are just as rich in nutrition as they are in flavor. She speaks English and Vietnamese, and her favorite food is a Vietnamese dish called Hủ Tiếu!

    Elizabeth Shin, MPH

    Personal Chef

    Elizabeth received her B.S. in food science from NC State University and her MPH in nutrition from UNC Chapel Hill. She is interested in finding methods to utilize food and medicine to prevent and cure illness. She is a major foodie and loves to spend time with her dog, Lincoln. She speaks English and Korean, and her favorite foods are noodles and ice cream.

    Aidan Moyer, MPH

    Personal Chef

    Aidan received their B.S. in Journalism from Appalachian State University, and is currently in the MPH program at UNC Chapel Hill. Their main interests focus on improving food access and redesigning the food system to center marginalized communities. Aidan enjoys baking for their partner and friends, cooking with ingredients from local producers, and eating! Their favorite food is bread.

  • Jovy Kim, MS

    Personal Chef

    Jovy has a B.A. in English and Technical Writing from UNC Charlotte and an M.S. in Technical Communications from NC State University. Though no longer involved in the software world, he is a full time personal trainer/powerlifting coach and part-time chef. Jovy’s love of cooking stems from watching his parents cook dinner, and finding ways to make healthy food flavorful and enjoyable to balance active lifestyles. He believes that food does not need to be bland to be healthy, and that we can find alternatives to reach our goals. Jovy speaks English and Khmer, and his favorite foods are chicken wings, Kathiew — a Cambodian beef rice noodle soup, and anything on the grill!

    Kayla Murphy, MS, RD, LDN

    Chef Dietitian

    Kayla is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian from North Carolina who earned her B.S from NC State University and her M.S. in Nutrition from Meredith College. She loves sharing her passion for food and nutrition with others, and teaching that healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring— meals can be both nutritious and delicious! Kayla loves experimenting with new recipes and especially enjoys baking. Her favorite foods are beans (they’re so versatile!) and any baked good with chocolate!

    Taylor Holste, MS

    Personal Chef

    Taylor earned her B.S. in Biology and Psychology from UNC Wilmington, her M.S. in Nutrition from NC State University, and currently works in community public health education. She's passionate about food justice, and loves helping others harness their own story, food preferences, and culture to feel confident in making choices that best serve their health and happiness. When not in the kitchen, you can probably find her out sharing a meal with friends and family, traveling, watching a movie with her cat Chicken, or reading. Taylor loves trying new cuisines, but her all time favorite food is a croissant!

    Baker

    Mary received her B.S in Neuroscience and a minor in Food Studies from UNC Chapel Hill. She shares a love for baking and utilizes it as a tool to advocate for food insecurity and pressing social issues. Beyond the kitchen, she enjoys trying out new restaurants, sewing, and traveling. She speaks English, Vietnamese, and some Mandarin. Her favorite dish is her mom's bánh xèo, a savory Vietnamese crepe.

    Abby Johnson, MS, RD, LDN

    Chef Dietitian

    Abby is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian originally from Nashville, TN, with a B.S. from Western Kentucky University and an M.S. in Nutrition from Meredith College. As a marathon runner, she’s experienced firsthand how proper fueling can boost performance, recovery, and everyday energy. She enjoys helping others find ways to eat that support their goals while staying satisfying, balanced, and enjoyable. When she’s not in the kitchen, Abby can be found at group fitness classes, running, thrifting, flipping furniture, or traveling. Her favorite foods/drinks are the toasted coconut iced coffee from Jubala, shrimp and grits, cosmic karma pizza from Mellow Mushroom, and maybe a medium-rare steak with garlic mashed potatoes on the side.
